The idea ad, the apple ipad, the breaking of the strong hold of Amazon and leaving more profits for Publishers. Give it 2 to 3 years and what happened first to photographic films and then to cassettes and CDs will happen to books. We will see Apple ipad clones coming up from all competitors sooner than later, i expect the iPad / equivalent to be eventually be sold around 10,000 Rs or even less. i expect schools to adopt ipad as a regular media of teaching in the next few years. similarly along with the concept of ebooks - another concept of PoD (Print on Demand) will start. So, the book will not take 4 weeks to arrive even if one wants a paper edition. It will be yet again interesting journey from analog to digital - this time for books.
